Hello. My name is Erica Heisler. I am originally from Velva, North Dakota and completed an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. I am currently a Graduate Student pursuing a Master’s of Science degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I am proposing to present my thesis on the “The relationship of snowmobile year, track length, and riding terrain to the occurrence of musculoskeletal symptoms in recreational snowmobile drivers.” I started riding snowmobile as a small child, and it is a hobby I continue to enjoy. Yearly snowmobile trips with friends and family have increased my interest throughout the years, and pointed me in the direction to present my thesis on a subject I enjoy and love.
I am writing to ask for your help in order to complete my thesis and Master’s Degree. I have completed the details of my research study, which will consist of a short survey. The survey will be in a multiple choice format and will be completed online or in hard copy. Any hard copy surveys need to be returned to me by mail. The following are a few “sample” questions to illustrate the type of questions that will be included in the survey:
• Have you ever had to see a medical professional because of an injury sustained during a snowmobile ride?
• When riding snowmobile, how long do you usually ride?
I am hoping you would be willing to pass on the website address for my survey to your member and friends. I would greatly appreciate their help in completing my educational experience at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
The survey can be completed online at:
